Performance module

I have a 2003 Ford F-150 King Ranch Supercew 4x4. I want to get some more power out of it bc i have some big tires on it and it is really slow i was thinking of getting the Edge Evolution Performance Module for it, does anyone have one? Is it a good buy? Does it actually work? And how much hp did you get out of it?

Do I have to use a higher octane than regular to get a noticable hp gain or can I get some hp out of only using regular?

My dad keeps telling me no dont get it. He says that its not the same as using it with a diseal you wont feel a diffrence. And iv been doing some reserch and everyone is saying yea its not as noticiable as a diseal would be but you can feel a good amount of differece. So im still kinda skeptical on it some more info would be helpful please.

Thanks

it wont compare to a deisel tuner, becuase your getting 100+ HP extra with those, and maybe 20+ with a gas tuner.

but you will like it.

i bought a superchips 1715 for my truck and i really liike it. it really firms up the shifts and makes it more drivable. it also helped me turn my 35's a little better

I had a superchips 1715 and it was ok. I now have an edge evo and it is ok as well. I bought it mostly for the display. While neither had any huge performance gains I did like the changes I could make with the transmission.

Besides the display, any other diff. between the superchips and the edge?

The edge is always connected which is nice. When making changes the edge is a little faster. I don't think there are any huge power gains. But there are some.

My truck is a 99 and I can't use all the options. Tire size etc.

My is a 97. My stock tire is 29" tall (235/70-16) and now 31-1/2" tall (285/60-18). I would like to change a few things also. I have a 1715 Superchip programer. So you already know what adjustments I can make. I just put the new tires on about a mo. ago. Sure did change the way it go's. I'm now thinking about a 4.10 gear, stock is 3.55.

A tuner will definitely make an improvement, but the most noticeable gains will be with a tuner, exhaust and intake all together. IF you do just an intake, you are getting more air in but nor more air out, if you do an exhaust, you could get more air out... but no more air in. When you do the tuner with the intake and exhaust it will all work together to get you the best results.

I am doing a special on S&B filters right now with 5% off using coupon code "5OFFSB" and could even do a package deal for you if you wanted to do a whole performance package.

I agree, the intake, exhaust and tunner all made a difference on mine. I do like the shifting of my auto alot more than stock. Just putting larger tires on takes it down a knotch. I think a different gear is my next move. Cheaper than a supercharger.

Paul, I would see what kind of package deal Alon will give you.
