Hi,
Just picked up my 2008 F150 XLT last week. After a week of driving around in the snow and slush, I really need some mud flaps. What's everyone using ?
Dealer or aftermarket.
If you use your truck mostly on pavement the stiff stock units should be ok. You can also get the tread plate units that will not tolerate going off road and getting high-centered. Running boards also provide a good deal of protection.
I am very satisfied with the OEM moulded splash guards (mud flaps) that were installed on my truck as part of the purchase agreement. I would go with the Ford OEM mud flaps, cant beat the fit.
I'm a bit new around here. Just traded my 04 F250 PS for an 06 150 Lariat. (i'm still crying).
Anyway, i'm interested in this thread...by chance, anyone have any pics they'd be willing to post? I have the Dark Toreador red w/ lower beige accent. Currently, no runners or mudflaps and not sure how they'd look.
I'm thinking if i do steps they'd have to be chrome, right? Black just wouldn't look good. That leads to the mudflaps...are black mudflaps going to look right? Such decisions in life...
2008 F150, It just so happens, that this is also my first post.
I just got off the phone with Dennis at duraflaps.com. He seems to be a real straight shooter. In fact, he is going to check out a truck like mine, an '08 Lariet, tomorrow, so that he can be sure to give me the right fit.
His prices are a little more, but his customer service seems top notch.
Also, these flaps are more flexible than the molded plastic ones, something to consider if you go off-road or are in a COLD snowy region.

Let me know how they look, and the price. I live in Colorado, and want to get some for my 08 Lariat Screw...Better yet, post a pic or 3.
There are pics of the Huskys installed on my '04 in my gallery. Unfortunately, they only show a good view of the rear flaps, and the pics are of the aftermath of getthing T-Boned......
Anyway, the Huskys fit very well and look like they were there from the factory, every bit as good of fit as the OEM's I've seen.
