I find if I keep the cruise control on 65 mph I get about 17 on the highway. All you have to is let your right foot get into it a little bit and mpg drops like a rock. I've read other posts that say keeping the boost at 10 and under makes a big difference with mpg's, and my experience says that they are right.

How do you keep the boost low? Excuse my ignorance, this is my first turbo.

LOL!!! I agree turn the key off. You need to be real sensitive with your right foot and watch the RPM"s and the Boost Pressure. At times I have felt like I was going to get run over doing this. Just shut up and drive and pay the price of diesel.

I have heard the guys on the 7.3 forum talking about adding 2-stroke oil to your tank and picking up 1-2 mpg.

OIL = soot=dead DPF. Don't do this with a DPF engine unless you want to clog DPF up.
