I have made one heck of a mess of my garage floor. Between the mustang and the f3 I'm afraid I might have ruined it with oil and other fluid spills. Does anybody have any suggestion on what to use to clean it? Has anybody ever used U Coat it or something like it?
You can buy a concrete cleaner at any hardware store. The concrete has to be clean before any epoxy coatings anyhow. Or clean it and put cardboard under the truck and problem solved. TIP in Canfield,Ohio sells a absorber for oil,etc and I use one for all my trucks............Bill
TSP (tri-sodium posphate) is good at leaching the oil out of the concrete, and won't actually eat it up like acids. Just mix up a strong batch and keep it soaking for a while, let it soak in, then flush. Purple cleaner is good too but costs more.
Try muratic acid. My spelling may be a little off....you can get it at most hardwares and Lowes, etc... Follow directions, be careful with it (ITS ACID).
It's fairly inexpensive and used to clean concrete and such. Rinses with water.

What about floor coatings? Has anyone had any luck with any of those? U Coat it seems really expensive to me. If there is somewhere that sells something just as good for less, I'd rather not spend the money.
I always clean the floor up with cat litter first, it absorbs any "free oil" and if you scrub the floor with it lots of time it cleans it up completely.
I coated my floor when I built it with a concrete sealer, it helps but the oil still stains somewhat.
