hello all. im looking at buying a 2000 f350 with a 7.3, truck runs great, but i went to look at it again, and after sitting all weekend when i started it the motor surged between 800-1400 rpms, and the truck rocked back and forth like it was misfiring. it smoothed out and ran great after 10-15 seconds. the owner said it only does it after sitting a couple of days. any ideas on what it could be? glow plugs?
oil level was ok, it was changed a month ago at the dealership, so i assume it has 15-40 in it. i dont think im gonna let it stop me, the truck is real well taken care of

I think Tim was right.
When you buy it, change the oil over to synthetic 5w-40, see if your ROMPS will disappear.
