You must be thinking of the 4.6 3v. That was put in the current gen mustangs. That one is a previous generation with 2v... Or at least thats what i thought...
It's a 4 valve motor similar to the one in the NA Cobra's in '01 and '02. It has different cam profiles and you are correct, it is rated at 305 HP from the factory if I recall correctly. Nice ride.
lol. i was just on my mustang forum saying the same thing. i've got a 2000 gt w/ a vortech supercharger and i can still get around 24mpg if i keep my foot out of it.
still gotta have my f350 cc lb diesel though.

I thought the Mach 1 had 300HP the same as the Bullite ( sp? ) and were a 4v 4.6? My brother has an 03 10th anniveroury Cobra 4.6 S/C 400hp stock, he dino at around 460HP and runs mid 11's now with street shoes.

I go to the 6.4 forum once and awhile and some of those guys aren't real happy with the 6.4. One of the biggest complaints is the 6.4 is a fuel hog.
