Long Day.....

did the ww and cck install yesterday. no problems. but while i had everything apart i decided to replace the up pipe gaskets because the left side was showing signs of leaking. 3 of the 4 bolts broke on the collector even after putting the heat to them. two came out fairly easy and the other just refused to cooperate. after a couple of broken bits and ruined easy outs i was able to get it tapped well enough to be ok. WORD OF ADVISE, do not by the FELPRO gaskets. they were the only ones i could find on short notice so i used them anyway. they are a little loose on the pipe and much thicker. so after all is said and done i'm driving home and wanted to see if the surge was gone so i stepped on it a little and at 10lbs of boost it started moaning and wouldnt go over 11-12lbs. drives normal otherwise but my boost pressures are lower i assume from the leak. gotta decide on either new pipes or factory gaskets. not lookin forward to doing it again. the cck kit from dino fuel alternatives was an easy install and i'm happy with the results. no leaks first try, i consider myself lucky there. any advice on pipes? what are the benefits vs the price?

Darrell,

Just go ahead and pony up for the bellowed up pies from International. and get the collector gasket from them also. No more worries.

yes and no, they are available from some of our sponsors, but if you want the least expensive option just go to your local International dealer. Tell them you need a set of bellowed up pipes for a T444E
