Well he is in Lousiana, maybe he has seashells on his mind? The sea was really choppy and nasty here in Charleston today..not a seashell to be found..Not even any babes on the beach
what does it mean when you just have a neutral gray box next to the reps in your user cp instead of the green ones?
I don't know either, but I'd like to know. I have had several of these over the past couple of years. I don't see how you can get a "neutral" rep point, since you choose either positive or negative in the pop-up box.

exactly what i was thinking, plus the one that i haev that says that is very positive - Thanks Nic for all your help with this stuff. You've been more than helpful! - - -
I always thought the "scale" was an intake valve with wings. It never looked like a scale to me. Maybe the word "comments" would have made me figure it out sooner too.
Then again, I only use 1% of my brain anyway.

plus what would a neutral rep mean
im curious what this is now
I'm curious about this as well. I just got another neutral rep last night. Since they don't appear to add any points to your total, I'm thinking it must be an EPA regulated thing.
I wonder how the heck you get a neutral, when I go out to give rep points, it is already checked positive, I would have to change it if I wanted something different.
You get a neutral from someone who is too new to be considered important by FTE's standards. If you get a rep from someone with alot of posts, or alot of green dots, or a moderator, the rep points go up considerably. I got 10 at once one time from a moderator. Or, you can get a neutral if you are left a positive without a comment.
thanks Kris, I was worried that I had given out a neutral, what does bother me though, I am unable to give out any rep points to most of the guys I would choose to, because I have to " spread them around"
I just gave Rick a negative rep for calling the scales a 'seashell'!......
Kidding!......
I was fishing most of the day Sunday. Man you have got a heck of a lots of Reps with that many green boxes. Maybe one day I will know enough to help someone on here.

cmpd1781 is a regular down in the general and members only forums. People seem to be a lot more consistent about handing out rep in those forums than in the tech forums, so people who post there tend to have more little green boxes than posters who stick to tech.

I do go into those fourms and read what is going on. I don't have the gab that most of them have. lol But I like to read the post in there.
