Problem with Water in Fuel
Hi All. Been a long time and I need your help. I have a 03 F250 with a 6.0 and love it. My Problem seems to be with bad fuel or so I believe. About a 3 Weeks ago my Water in the Fuel light came on.I changed the 2 fuel filter's and drained the water. Now again the light came on. I will drain the water again but there seems to be a problem somewhere. Is there an Additive I can use that will help. Thanks Wade

Wade, it might not be a problem with your fuel quality at all. The 03 models had issues with the WIF sensors and the HFCM fuel heaters which was discontinued for MY 04. If its under warranty, definately bring it to the dealer for repair. They will give you the new updated cover without the heater and the better sensor. I had the same issues on my 03 until they installed the updated cover on mine.

Thanks for your Info Ryan. Stupid Question on my part ???? What do you mean when you update cover??? Is that the Computer. Yes this Truck is still under warranty until this September. If I take it to the dealer what should I tell them ?? Thanks for your Reply and your Help Wade

Updated HFCM (Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module) cover. It is the frame rail mounted filter cover.

Just wanted to thank both mrxlh and bismic for your help. I took my Truck to the Dealership Today and you were right. They Replaced a Bad Water Separator Manifold/ Fuel Conditioning Module and a Wire Asy. for the fuel pump. Thanks Again for your help. Wade

One way to say thanks to these guys that really help is to give the positive rep points.
