Starved for fuel
My 2000 has one cylinder that makes noise constantly. I read that the No '8' cylinder is being starved for fuel. a found a guy who installed a fuel regulaltor and removed 3 check valves and pretty much solved the problem. has anyone tried this? Is there a better fix? Can a chip solved this problem?

A fuel regulated return kit will help significantly with keeping injectors from getting starved of fuel. Particularly those farther down the line. I don't know how prevelant the problem is with a 7.3(I'm assuming that's the engine you have since you said it was a 2000 and that's all I have to go by, all I saw in your profile was 2009), but it is very common with the 6.0s(what's called "dead-heading") and the RR kit is the better solution for it.
