400 engine questions

Does the 400 have any problems like the 351m poor oil pressure and cooling problems while towing.

400 engine questions

Since the 351M and the 400 are identical except for the length of the stroke you can assume they are going to act pretty much the same. Overheating problems are not inherent to the engine family unless the cooling system is insufficient for the job. The oiling system on the 335 series is more than adequate for any street use. It only becomes a problem in high RPM, high horsepower applications.

400 engine questions

I'm no expert, but I've had a 400 in a tow-truck, pulling cars in hilly terrain for years, without a problem. It is definitely a hi-torque, low-RPM HAULER. I don't think I've seen the tach go over 2300 since I've owned it.
