400M Bolt Pattern
Thanks for asking. I've not had chance to measure the stroke. I'm going to take the sump off and have a look at the crank. Will let you know.
Funny though because the casting on the block reports it as a 400. What has this guy done?
I Don't suppose you know where I could pick up a bellhousing for a Ford Toploader to my 351M because the 351C I have don't fit!

Well the 351M and 400 use the same block so it looks like he just put the new 351M rotating assembly in a block that was originally a 400. I hope he made sure the date/casting center codes were good. 'Fraid I can't help you much on the bellhousing. The good news is that any bellhousing which fits a 351M/400 or 429/460 will fit.
We should stop using terminalogy made for Chevy's.
Ford calls the 351C/351M/400 "335" series engines.
Of course there are windsors, FE's Y-Blocks and 385's also...
Basing them off of bellhousing pattern is misleading.
