Diesel fuel stablizer

Got a new 115K BTU kerosene/diesel/jet fuel/(190 proof whiskey?) heater for myself a few weeks ago. Put diesel in it, now I've got to prepare not to use it for the next 9 months. Went into the auto stores to find a diesel fuel stablizer so I don't have to drain it but couldn't find anything except this red stuff (forgot the name). Says it's good for any two- and four-cycle engines. Anyone know if this is what I need or know which stuff to use?

Diesel Kleen or similar has an anti-bacterial additive, that's all you really need for diesel since it doesn't gum up like gas.

Be sure to fill it up to the tippy top so it doesn't condense moisture out of the
air and rust the metal parts in the tank/fuel system.

You'll need to treat it cuz Diesel fuel can grow algae like organic material in it. As Blue Beast stated, top off the tank so condensation won't rust the inner tank shell.
