Sorry to hear that it did work out, $20.00 is $20.00 but thanks for sharing the results. some of the others mentioned looked interesting but the one that cost the most looks like it's the one I need to use.

The new Cabela's Automotive and ATV catalog has several options. They have the over the tire step and the loop type but two others caught my eye. The Step Gate is similar to the StepnSeat noted in an earlier post - a fold down step but with a much shorter handle that can be mounted on either side of the tailgate. And for those who've looked at steps that use the hitch receiver they have a truly interesting option called the Step-n-Tow. This is a step that fits around your hitch ball. It provides a step on either side of the ball, where it appears you could actually stand with both feet - one either side of the ball - if wanted. With this you can use the step and tow without having to remove anything. And they're all under $100.
