Yup, I have a Traxxas gas powered truck at my Brother's place in CO. Just the basic truck was over $400. If I were to start replacing the plastic parts with aluminum, I'd easily run the price of it well over a thousand dollars.
I got that little Zip zaps 1/64 scale Bigfoot ford pick up and it is a pretty good looking
rc body. The truck will go through anything for a tiny rc and you can change the
motors and gears to make it crawl or speed. Some guys are taking them and making
the chassis articulate and making the gear ratio crazy low and are doing some pretty
big climbs.
I also got the associated RC10 GT and it will hit 45 mph no problem and faster with
a gearing change. It's got a .12 cubic inch nitro motor and I got the F 150 body on
it!! It is made in the U.S.A. which is pretty rare in the hobby!! Check out in general automotive I just started a thread about Remote control vehicles and who has them and what so they have.
You can buy the F350 High Lift for $359 through Tower Hobbies. Then you need a radio around $79, Battery & charger $45, Then about 8 AA batteries. You can start mud running, rock climbing, or try the snow. I run a HPI MT2 4x4 in with nitro. I'm looking into building a rock crawler.

I went to Tower Hobby too, I have to save up some pennies for this build.
The truck in the video was decked out with working lights and other goodies. Is there an aftermarket for this truck, is it now popular enough for an aftermarket?
