5-spd swap
What's involved in swaping a 5-spd in place of a 4-spd.
Say a '90 5 in place of an '85 4

Don't be put off by the user name, just 'cuz you like Dodges you don't have to hate phords---oops sorry-- FORDS, just a bad habit Im trying to break.
I have a '90 gas crewcab 4wd I want to swap in a 6.9l, WVO system, 5-spd from a 7.3l for a daily driver.
I am also building an 85/91 Dodge Cummins 4WD Crewcab for my "sunday" truck.

Pretty much details the entire saga of my T-19 to ZF-5/SMF swap last summer. You may find page 3 of the first thread particularly interesting - it includes some info on where to get parts and what parts to get to do the cluch conversion for under $200.
