What would happen.........????

What would happen to my '03 5.4 if I filled half my tank with e-85 and the other half with reg. gas??

Let me re-phrase my question...what would happen to the components of my engine if I mixed half tank e-85 and half regular gas??

There is a very good reason why Gasohol is limited to a Max of 10 to 15 % EOH, and then you jump to the E85 blend. It is called Phase seperation and it can take place with increasing amounts of EOH or MeOH above the 15%. The EOH or MeOH will collect any water in the tank, ala DryGas, and it will then seperate from the gasoline leaving you with nothing but EOH or MeOH plus water to be sucked up by the fuel pump and into your engine. NOT GOOD. I would suggest that you stick to straight gasoline, or the 10% blend unless you have an engine developed for E85
