I have a 1995 E-150 with the 5.8L, and my air-bag light is flashing. I know this is an electrical back-up code of some sort, but I currently can't locate my Chilton manual to see what it is. It's flashing 5-2, and as previously stated, it's my air-bag light that's flashing. Any help is appreciated.
I had a thread on here for my '95 E-250, never got anywhere with a fix.
Ended up selling van to a guy and now he can watch it flash.
For those interested, everyone with a comment on here said I'd be lucky to get $1200 for it, $1500 at the most. Gentleman was entirely happy tp pay my asking price of $2000.
Never was able to solve the O-D button mystery either.

Did it pop the instrument cluster fuse? If so, the O/D wires passed through the shifter and would fray right at the base of the shifter going into the column, so when you pushed the O/D button it would short and kill the instrument panel...had this problem with my FIL's Grand Marquis when I was selling it after he passed away.... This was/is a "design feature" of Fords...
