LLS change out complete
I just finished installing the suspension conversion from American Air Suspension. Went pretty easy. Only a couple thoughts. I needed my spring compressors to get the new springs in the rear. Needed to compress out an 1 1/2 inches. Thats without removing anything rom the rear suspension. On the front I struggled a bit. The instructions said to disconnect the upper control arms. Which I did. But getting in the new coilover in was tight. But that was with me not wanting to R/R more suspension pieces. So what I found. Install the top first. It compresses the rubber spacers giving you just a little more room. Then on the bottom. Loosen the bottom of the sway bar mount completely. First pry the shock into the spot sitting above its anchor location. I used a pry bar just grabbing the shock right were the base rounds to the bolt tube base. Then from underneath. You need to pry the bottom back into its spot.
Without attaching the top first you just sit there with a dumb look on your face. PLus you need 18mm stuff. Both sockets and wrenches. Like a pair of each. Not real common. And Sears is out everytime I go in.
