Exclamation 4x4 dose not work help!!!

hi, my friend and I are working on his 1998.5,f350,psd.6speed
about 3 months ago when he bought his truck 4 wheel drive worked great, then it went out. He replaced the auto locking hubs and still did not work.
The 4x4 drive light will not come on and you do not hear the transfor case lock in.
i think it is elctecal but not sure all the fuses are good .

if you know anything it would be appreciated.
we need a quik fix if posible we are supposse to get 5-8 in of snow tomorrow.

Very slim chance it is a fuse, but it wouldn't hurt to check them.

Like Kris said, it's probably the shift motor.

Also, ditch the auto hubs if you don't want to get stuck out in the snow.

x3 on the shift motor, especially if the truck has seen alot of salty roads, mud, water. They are a common failure point. Swap the motor for now, and then look for a manual shift case to swap out later.
