hELP....YOU ALL TALKED ME INTO TRYING A REBUILD ON MY CARB BY MYSELF, SO TODAY I STOPPED AT A LOCAL PARTS THAT DEALS IN A LOT OF STUFF FOR OLDER CARS & TRUCKS. I TOLD HIM THE NUMBERS ON MY CARB ARE "MODEL 7H3" STAMPED INTO THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE BOWL, AND IT HAS A "FORD" SCRIPT ON THE PASS SIDE OF THE BOWL. ARE THERE OTHER NUMBERS SOMEPLACE ELSE ON THE CARB? THE TRUCK IS A '48 f-1 WITH A FLATHEAD SIX. IT'S TITLED AS A '49, BUT THE VIN DECODES TO A '48. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT NUMBERS I NEED TO GET A KIT FOR THIS CARB? NUMBERDUMMY, YOU OUT THERE?

I don't know the answer to your question but you might see if you can get the answer at www.carburetorshop.com. They have a number to call also. Check out their vehicle application information and you should be able to get a carb number.
