Hi all. I wanted to pass along some info that might help others. Early in the winter I realized that my heater was NOT working like it should. I took out the heater core and radiator and took them to a local radiator shop (Leanord's North Kansas City Radiator). He pressure tested and boiled them both. The radiator checked out OK< but the heater core was plugged up beyond repair. He ordered a new core from St. Louis and swapped it over to my core body. I put it all back together and the heater is HOT. Leonard's a good-ole-boy and knows his craft. Highly recommended.
Oh, and does anyone know how to locate the valve that stops the water flow? I have a **** under the dash that pulls a cable which opens and closes a valve on the right side inner fender. The valve is rusted solid (open fortunately) ad a new valve has been added at the water pump. I'd like to get that adjustable valve replaced at some point.
