IDK, my brother in law had a V-10, it is fun just to punch it and feel the snap emediatly, where is with my 6.0 you have to be in the right rpm... I do like to go through town with my 6.0 at about 1500-1700 rpm, and punch it! Just to tease the little sport cars
I know a couple of guys who will throw rev's with their diesels when they are cold; like you would do with a gaser to warm it up. I have always just let my 6.0 idle up on its own to warm up. Maybe it's just a throw back to the days before fuel injection and electronic engine control for them?
I agree, it takes some time to find how to accelerate a diesel. I’m new to the diesel world and been playing with the pedal to find a constant launching but haven’t found it yet. But you learn as you drive. Left the parking lot the other day not in any hurry, hit the pedal just right, and was gone. Now to do that every time that’s what I want to learn!
