I purchased a power brake booster and bracket off E-bay last September from a Bills Rod and Custom Shop http://www.billsrodandcustomshop.com/index.html
I payed for using Paypal a sum of $195 plus $60 shipping. As the time went by and I did not recieve anything I sent e-mails and got a reply that if I did not recieve it they would send me another one, then more time passed, more e-mails. Another reply from Bill stating that he had a batch of bad power boosters and then nothing. I went to Paypal as it is guaranteed but you have to put a claim in before 45 days and too much time has passed. I thought if I kept in contact with him that there may be hope that he would finally send it to me but no luck, I did get one response back a few weeks ago after a phone message I left stating again that he had bad power boosters. I have asked for a refund with no success. If anyone has or will be dealing with Bill keep this in mind. I hope Bill is still in good health and if he is not that is the only excuse that I will accept is that he has passed on. I work too hard to find money to spend on my truck to have it ripped off llike this.
Sorry to hear this problem but if by chance you used a credit card as a funding source through paypal, you can dispute charges that way, just a thought.
We have a few members on the board that live in OH, maybe, if they live nearby, they can check on it in person. If nothing else contact the police in that area and file a complaint.
After reading everyones input, I noticed you repeated the 45 day epay limitation. Huntsman note is usable.Call the number on the back of the credit card you have on file with upay, Master card, Visa, Amex, etc. They will investigate and can pull the money from their future sales with Bill and return it to you as a credit on your card.I have done this in the past after receiving a defective part from a epay seller. Have a great day, chuck
Sorry to hear about your experience with Bill. I just had a great experience with Pirate Jack out of North Carolina on ebay. Paid around $170 shipped, admittedly first shipment they sent wrong pieces. But great communications, an 800 number for customer service and quick to correct the situation. I can highly recommend them if you still need a booster.
Sorry to hear about that. I really sucks when you've spent your hard earned $ and get nothing in return. Guys like that give the legit person a bad name. I hope you can get your money back. Good luck.
There is no slack for a rip off. If it cant be solved by phone
or buy e-mail, and you are 100 percent sure you are correct
you should smear his name the most you can. Just make sure
you are correct and not the other guy
Take care Bob
letting us know is a good way to keep this from happening to others . we've all been there and done this . my buddy norm just bought a hemi head { 426 } for his hemi challenger convertible ,from a fella on evil bay and got stiffed . it was cracked but repaired according to the add , supposedley an exhaust port . yeah when it got here it was cracked from one side to the other and there was no way it was gonna be repaired . he's dealing with paypal now but it's not looking promising , as this guy has dissapeared . as far as smearing i get riled up too bob , we all do but lessons in life , and my freinds here and other sites have kept me from doing such things as what goes around comes around . i dont need any more bad karma so i try and relax and wait . eventually the people in question will get their's .
Breaking news, I just recieved an e-mail from Bill that my booster and bracket has been shipped by UPS, I will post an new thread when I get the parts so everyone knows that it must have been an accounting error that delayed the shippment.
