Ok, I completed the manual lockup. It does not liek to shift gears with the TC unlocked. The light started blinking. I am going to reset it and use the auto mode until I get to OD......
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Which type of switch did you use? I leave mine off in town and turn it on shortly after hitting over drive.
Dakotajeep do you mean the OD cancel light is flashing? and what do you mean by the TC unlocked? The way I wired mine and the way the two links show should alow you to manualy lock the torque converter. Did you run it so you could also keep it from locking? Also if you are maualy locking it a too low a speed or RPM you may not have enough line presure to hold the gear and the Tc cloutch wich can result in a slip and kick the trans in limp mode.
I ran a three way switch. It is wired for Auto, Unlocked and Locked. When I switched to lock from third it started flashing the OD light.....I will just use it in OD from now on.....
Ok, after making a 100 round trip drive, I have found a flaw in my setup. I have the three way switch wired as shown belowexcuse the third grade style paint job)
I wanted it to be in Auto or normal operation in the top setting, unlocked in the middle and locked in the bottom. What I ended up with is the top two settings unlocking the TC and the bottom locking it. What do I need to do to get it the way I want it? The links I have read so far have sorta confused me. I could leave it the way it is but would rather have AUTO, OFF and ON settings. If I need to be more clear let me know and I wil try....
Is there any markings on the swich? Also if you have a multi meter you can ohm out the swich in easch position and see wich pins are conected in each position.
I've been Trying to figure it out on paper and I think you need to swich the wire to the computer to the top and the wire to the trans to the center and it should work. But its hard to tell without the swich in front of me.
I put both tranny wires together on the middle post. The ground is on the bottom post. Basically the only control I have is whether to lock it or have it operate normally by the computer.....
Basically, I should have just gotten a two position switch since I am not utilizing the thrid position.....oh well, I thought it would work the other way but I guess not....
When you had it hooked up the original way and had it in the unlock position did the OD cancel light flash? cuz I was thinking of adding a swich for that but it sounded like it was putting you in limp mode. Also if you try the computer on top, torque converter in the midle, and groung on the bottom it may give you the three positions.
You had the wires reversed in your 3 way switch. The lockup solnoid is powered from the transmission and is grounded in the ECA. You need the transmission wire to be in the middle terminal (Common) and the ECA wire and ground wire on the other terminals. Most switches will have the common in the middle and the terminal that will be connected will be opposite the toggle position.
I have done this before, it did not set the limp mode. This was in a E350 van so I found it better to access the wiring at the transmission end.
