tci seems to be a good kit, i'm rebuilding a c6 now, and i bought a how to dvd from bad shoe productions and its really helpful, i have a portable dvd player and just go step by step , go for it ,tear it down keep it CLEAN,slap it back together

If you have never done it before get a good book that tells you the ins and outs or trans rebuilding, check ball diagrams and so on. you need to know what to look for and how to beef things up. A shift kit never hurt any automatic. You will need to buy or make a tool to compress the spring loaded clutches and it is a good idea to have compressed air around to test the pistons and such as you put it back together. Make friends at the local trans shop, they can give you some pointers. I work at one.
