I have tried a bunch of different fuel additives, and A just tried the Amsoil diesel fuel treatment. I noticed a slight jump in mileage, and it seems to run a bit smoother, plus is says it blends well with biodiesel, which is a huge plus for me. Anyone else use this additive, and have any good luck with it?

never rans amsoil additive. Always ran power service or howes.... switched to schaeffers by recommendation of a friend. Schaeffers mix seems to be getting better fuel mileage but i'll know more in a week or two after i do more testing. IMO amsoil is over priced.

Well that's the problem. Since amsoil doesn't have an API service rating, there is no way to know if it's any good or not. I guess since every other synthetic on the market has gone through the trouble of getting that rating....they are all better than amsoil.
In fact, if I had to pick one word to describe a product that intentionally avoids government testing, I believe I would have to select "inferior".
I have standing orders to delete amsoil threads, but since you asked about fuel additives......
You've really never heard of Power Service? It's available at every auto parts store, every truck stop, and wal-mart. If you are looking for a diesel fuel additive, it's difficult not to trip over power service.

Not so much now.....but I always have to keep an eye open. Obviously I'm not going to simply delete a users opinion just for typng the word, but they (amsoil threads) always get watched closely by the mods/admin.
