Thanks for the comments. I have been a part of FTE for about 3 years, I just had to start over with a new username and email account. I was formerly known as LastChance55. Trust me, this truck was assembled with mostly help from this site. Thanks everybody.
Rodney---did I here my name!! Now that is 1 cool 56!! I had no power for 2 days from an ice storm----it was BAD!!! I will be considering a trip south soon, and will call and let you know. Your truck looks like my 56F600s little brother--haha!!! Bill
I got the peeps from a place from Virginia off ebay. I will have to dig through the buildsheet to find the exact place, but you can search ebay and find them all day long 3 and 4 inchers.

If you would pay your light bill instead of blowing it on old trucks, you might can keep your lights on.
Thats dedication.
No problem Bill just let me know prior and I have the stuff ready.
Rodney---send some more pics of your truck! I think everyone would like to see more of it. What paint did you use? That cab has to be the straightest I have ever seen----and I painted alot of corvettes and avanti and front ends for trucks and boats,etc.....I am really impressed with how your truck came out. And,all the help you had was from chevy guys!!!!!.........hahahahah!!! just kiddin'!! Bill
I am still waiting for more pics----come on Rodney, quit driving that cool 56 around Ardmore and post some pics----remember,we are in the snow belt, and need to put snow tires on to cruise,in the snow and ice and salt!!!..........Bill
Sorry Bill for the delay I will post some new pics when I can get the DSL back up. As for the paint, we used Sherman Williams poly enamel, single stage. One shot, wait 24 hours, and start rubbing. The cab after we blocked her off was super straight and just had to build the cowl up a little to fit the hood I used. The new bed, wood, and rear fenders came out great. We had the most body work done on the running boards but for being 53 years old, they came out slick. I will update the gallery and let you know. Talk to you soon.
