Lightning Intake Manifold

I have an opportunity to get a complete intake manifold off of a 95 Lightning. It looks great and there are no problems with it. How much do you guys think it is worth? Also, are the heads off the Lightning any different/better than the E7s on my truck?

I was thinking they might be GT-40 heads, but was not sure. That being the case, I will get them if I can scrounge up the $250 the guy wants for them.

The Lightning/GT40 intake is a good piece, as are the heads.. better than E7's though nowhere near as good as most aftermarket heads. If wouldn't value either the heads or intake at more than $300... though others may pay more.

The guy wants $250 for the intake and $250 for the heads. If I can round up the money, I might give it a try. Some aftermarket heads would be awesome, but I do not have $1,000 to $1,600 to throw around. Thanks for the input.

That's good value. If you feel the need and have the $$ the GT40's can also be improved with a competent porting job.

I thought the deal was pretty good and if I can get the money together, I was think of getting the manifold and heads, then waiting to install until I could afford to have the heads ported and install some 1.7 roller rockers with them.
