Hey ford FE fans, how is the snow in your neck of the woods??? I just came from the summit racing web site, i have been just looking, a little bored. And you know what, i must have looked at 2 or 300 crate motors, and not ONE FE motor in the works. I found that a little disturbing, to say the least. Now just why in the world not??? That does not make sense to me, so what is the deal with summet ??? they had 302-351-427(small block it said)-460. And the strokers for those same motors. But not one FE. I would like to see more than one opinion on this, so please enlighten me. Thanks

Every one says the FE is to heavy...
thats Why i have them in 4 vehicles....
by the way Carroll Shelby used them and still builds them
wait till 4x4 off road mag gets a load of my 68m-715 390 powered with 435 trans and 5.83 gears...
they said that to never ever use an fe in any off road vehcile to heavy a engine...
"hehehehe" just wait
Face it. As much as we love them, the FE is more of a cult than anything else. There is just not the market for them. Small block Fords? Sure. Chevys of all sizes? You bet. Even Dodge engines. The FE will continue to be the haunt of an exclusive club. Would you really want EVERYONE to be able to buy an FE or just those in the know?

Yeah, and the BBC is any lighter? Oh and on the M715, way to go brother! I've got a 67.
Just out of curiosity, do they have any crate Y-block engines? Any Flathead crates? Notice there are fewer and fewer bodies these old mills can just drop into?
My landlord teaches engine performance at a Vo-Tech. This past fall he was telling me about the textbook the school thought he should teach from. He said it was "dumbed down": Easier to read with no big words, text with overviews and no real theory being presented or explored, and not a single mention of carburetors. He finds that disturbing, but not surprising.
