I checked it out today the 04 I was in 4.6 had the 5r55w or something in it ... same as the v6... took the same trans filter anyways...
You should have heard the screaming match I had with this low life sales man... he told me I was a flocking idiot under his breath just load enough for me and a few other people in the room to hear... because I would not buy a 2005 XLS with 7,600 miles on it. Let me just say this ... good thing we were around other people I was livid to say the least, and his boss was at his desk.... I think he might have come close to losing his job... this 07 I'm looking at is his boss's company ride.... I'm now working directly with the main cheeze.... He is willing to sell me the 07 for $500 over cost ... I have it for a few days and he said if that was not the right one he had 3 more... I think he didn't like his boy trying to push me into something I didn't want.... and I hate it when someone trys to push me around... it wasn't pretty.........

Let us know how you like the '07; the only bad things I've heard about 'em are the front interior door handles are a little weird, and the door lock/unlock switch inside the liftgate was dropped.
