How does a lease return work? Please help me on this!
The truck will be sent to an auction and there they do an overall condition report. They will not check for any chips or any other mods. The only thing that might hurt is the lift. The reason for that is they have to announce altered suspension when it runs through, but i highly doubt they will charge you for it. main concerns are body and interior damage. If the truck is clean you will be alright.

Why not just keep it like you where planning on? You say you already bought the head studs. If the gaskets are going/gone is it not under warranty with only 50K on it?
Why would the dealer not install the ARP studs if you ask them to when they are changing gaskets?

In the best case it's going to cost you a butt-load of money to get into another vehicle. You'd be better off sticking to your original plan even if you have to pay an independent shop to do the studs. Even so, a lot of these trucks hold up just fine with Ford replaced headgaskets using stock bolts. If you can get it done under warranty just get it done, studs or not.
Then, dump the Edge before you do some real damage. But hey, it's your money.

If you are at all concerned, return the truck to stock (remove tuner) and then reset the control modules. There are detailed discussions regarding tuner footprints and removal options. Ask your dealer about the studs (call in as an anonymous individual) then if they don't do it continue calling other dealers until you find one that will.
