i am very dissapointed with my numbers,,...... After stage 2 the dp tuner is basically worthless.... I thought i was having a problem with my fuel pump or hpop, but we hooked it up to a couple other programs while i was running and all of them checked out ok cant figure out why my truck wont put down the BIG #'s
i remember people saying that disconnectiing your EBBPV sensor would make more power simply not true tried it and nothing same numbers..... I ran my truck probably 20 times and we tried figuring out what was going on and i'm still stunned....he is going to compare numbers from a 7.3 he ran yesterday and see if my injectors arent pulsing properly and also check the pumps and anything else he can measure from the reading he took
Don't feel bad. You will be over 300 easy on a dynojet. I noticed the same thing with my truck at the drag strip The stock HPOP ain't going to make any more than in the 80econ no matter what the chip calls for because it is maxed out. Also, the WW is giving up a bit at the top end if you ask me. Probably not enough to write home about but every bit counts.
but i want it to be more realistic...if i was on a dynojet the numbers are a little inflated because there is no load, but i would like to find one just to see what she has on one
A dyno lies, plain and simple. There are just so many variables to affect the numbers it puts out. Imagine how ifeel, i spent $4600 on a transmission to put power to the ground, dynoed, and the numbers went down. Mike was there. I then spent $2700 on big oil and then more for live tuning, and my damn HP went down even more, when jody guaranteed me 350, i made something like 304.
countrystrokin we have about the same mods and you made so much more power than me....i know that my hpop is ok and so is my fuel system is the drastc difference in numbers due to the different types of dynos...if so i want to try a dynojet just to see if i can make those types of numbers....if i have bad o ring in my injectors do you think that might be the reason i'm not seing big numbers
I dynoed mine on feb 2nd and made 339hp 689tq on a dynojet
Matt
Matt -- these were the numbers I was thinking about when I put *790* further up the thread. I either brain farted or fat fingered. Either way, if I can manage close to that I'll be thrilled. I'm hitting the dyno next Sat so, I'll let you all know how it goes. From the email I got about the event, here's what they'll have there: Mobile DynoJet 248c
Maybe that's good??
EDIT: HOLY CRAP Kris -- I just saw your new title... I SECOND THAT!!

I predict 310-315 and about 645 plus or minus 10. Hope you prove me wrong. We'll see what that Transgo and new tunes are worth.
Joe, your truck has always sounded healthy from your descriptions. You may have a very healthy HPOP. My only concern would be the top end limit of the WW. I look forward to the #s.
