IC boots and tubes question.

I am shopping around for IC boots for the entire system. What do you think about the BD power clamps?

And does any one have any good IC tubes that they would like to sell? I bent mine due to overtorqueing them . They are crimpled on the end. I also going to take my IC to the radiator shop to get pressure tested and cleaned.

Our 7.3L BD spring loaded clamps do work good with the factory boots if the tubes are cleaned correctly. Because the crank case vents through the intake pipe oil gets sucked through the turbo and pushed through the intercooler so oil gets onto the tubes which causes them to slip off, once they come off they hard to get them to stay on.

Tip: Clean the tubes with a brake cleaner and spray them with hairspray after they are clean.

so it is just the clamp, not the hoses?

Yeah.. looking at the ad, it looks like its the boots too. That's a quite a bit of coin just for clamps. New engine boots (IC's and Spider) w/ clamps for $99 @ Dieselsite. If the BD was for clamps and boots, that'd be a great deal!

That's correct, just the clamps, we are having troubles finding the size we need in the heavy duty silicon boots.

Looks like it includes two spider boots and then two "reformed" IC boots.
