Welp, looks like its time to replace the rear brake pads. Recently (little did i know it was the back brakes) but it has a little vibration (like sticking brakes) when coming to a stop.
Today they began squeeling and i can see the rotor dust on the wheels, the back drivers side especially.
Any suggestions to brands from auto parts stores, etc.? Tricks to installing?
From what I have heard (have not had to do mine yet) the best place to get them is actually from Ford. You are supposed to specify OEM or they will give you motorcraft. Also the sticking could be from your slide pins hanging up, and the rear pads are supposed to be very easy to replace.
I bought my rotors, pads and slide pins from local dealer. Mine lasted 117,000 miles and were still not worn all the way. The parts were around 800.00 but I have a dually.
im getting kind of leery about using auto parts chain store brands, but dont really have the cash to spend at the dealer, i have been looking and are there any auto parts chains brand taht are actually worthy?

Please tell me that was for all 4 (or 6 in your case) wheels...
Pads are an easy swap, getting the rotors off isn't much more work (at least on the front, I haven't looked at my rear set yet). Getting the wheels off is more work than pulling the calipers and hangers, except that the caliper hanger bolts take a lot of grunt (and a good breaker bar) to get them to pop loose.

Yes, that was for all 4 rotors, pads and 2 sets of slide pins. I only changed the front rotors because my rear rotors were in such good condition. And I didn't want to pull the axles.
There is only one rotor in the rear per side. I think the parts are a little more expensive for a dually. I did the work myself.
