It would have to be in the Sequence Number: (e.g. A32974, on mine) or the #9 position. All other number positions are descriptive of other things. Take another look at my post above.

Your right I am learning more stuff every day.Reidicus try using my vin and tell them its an auto.

If I run my VIN with position 7 changed from a 1 to a 2, it comes back invalid... We need a manual truck VIN to confirm position 7 as a 2

Thanks for all the help guys. I feel a little scared even tho the ford techs are workin' on it. Just because they say they can't do it or can promise me its going to work. I'm glad I have this site. I have saved alot of money in the last two years and much more to prob come in the future. Thanks to everyone and the man who sent me a private message stating that the PCM can be reprogrammed for that year of engine. $600 saved right there. THANKS AGAIN!


I'll keep you guys informed when the truck is rollin' again.
