trans swap

will a 4 speed out of a diesel f250 work in a 300 six pickup years are 19 82

The diesels used a different bold patter than the 300. You may be able to change the bellhousing, but someone else would have to chime in on that...

The T-18 and NP trannies should allow for a different bellhousing to be bolted to it, but the question would be is the four bolt pattern on the back of them the same b/w the two trannies. The other question is do you have 4wd? This is pertient to the transfer case patterns and if you have a circular pattern on the T-case to tranny on both then you are golden, otherwise keep lookin'.
