Ok, I thought I bolted the right flexplate on a 351c but the diameter of the torque converter bolts are to small. I have one off a later 302 but the weight is to big. Will one off an early 302 fit. The parts store lists different part #s for 351C and 302W -but the # of teeth are different. They only have one for a 302 in stock so I can't compare. Are they balanced differently?

I have always used the 164 tooth flexplate with a 28.2 oz. balance weight, most 351w's and 302's share the same flexplate with the same
teeth, although stay away from the 50 oz. balance weight that some 302's have.

Thanks, I'm finding this flywheel stuff confusing as it also depends on the tranny. I'm going to go for more research because I don't want an engine that far out of balance. (50oz or 28 oz).:-staun
