Can't tell - you need to post more info. Other than fuel economy, are you having any problems? If you so, they MIGHT apply the latest flash without you requesting it, but you should still request it. MAYBE even for really bad fuel economy as your only complaint they will anyway, but I doubt it (would have to be really bad mpg's or a really good dealership). If you just want an upgrade, you will most likely have to pay for it yourself (my experience).
Out of warranty, you pay full charge.
If it is in warranty and nothing wrong other than bad fuel economy, you might pay:
nothing, but I would doubt it - see above.
you might may pay $100 (cost for warranty work after 3 yrs/36k miles - per service visit)
Or it may be you pay full charge for a software upgrade - $110 - $120.
If it is still in warranty and it is at dealership for warranty work (not just bad fuel economy) you might pay:
nothing - depends on what it is in for.
you might might pay $100 (cost for warranty work after 3 yrs/36k miles - per service visit)

As I said at first - You simply need to post more info.
What year and miles on your truck? Is it under warranty? Any running problems? Any repetitive problems? Etc.
It's a 2007, around 30,000 miles. Figured I'd have them look at two potential leaks before leaving for California. Everything is running perfect. Couldn't ask for more except for more mileage.
Your still under the 3/36,000 warranty. Tell them you are having cold start isues,ie; long crank time and they should give you the induction flash no charge. This will also exercise the turbo during prolonged idleing.
It has been my experience that my dealer (in Ft. Wayne, IN) has flashed my 6.0 if/when it needed it based on Ford's say so rather than anything I did or didnot say. In fact I've purchased a bright yellow "do not flash without notifying owner" plastic piece that goes over my OBDII access port so - hopefully - Ford will let me know if they flash it again. I sincerely recommend to anyone running a tuner to check the flash "code" ANY TIME their truck is in the dealer. Running a mismatched tune to flash may make your truck run really bad (at best) or cause serious damage to your vehicle (at worst).
