Carb Jets
I Got 77 460 with a mild towing build.
i tried 3 differnt carbs
750 holley dubble pump with mecanical seconds and dual feed
it has 71 primary jet and 80 second
next was a holley 1850 with vacumn seconds
and 66 jets
both made good power and very poor milage and had a rough run between 1200 rpms and 2000 rpms
than i rebuild a
holley list 8415
it has vacumn seconds electric choke and 299 jets
it makes good power and runs just great on the truck, but i dont have any vacumn ports to hook up my vacumn advance, but i pluged the hose onto a vacumn port on top of the main body and it seems to work.
anybody have any ideas why. Or what the 299 jets actually are.
Or just what carb i should actually look for and what jets i need
