Turbo Leak!!

Has anybody had issues with there turbo leaking oil into the intercooler? Any ideas on where in the turbo the leak could be.. are there kits ect. Has a Garrett turbo...just looking for some ideas before diving into it.

My turbo was leaking at the base where there are two orings. To replace them you have to remove the turbo but that is not a really big project. I believe Rons Turbo Service has a rebuild kit for it. number is 801-842-9186. Should be about $100. That is new bushings, o rings, and everything. Actually more than what you need. Are you sure it is the Turbo? Unless you've completed the CCV mod, it could be the Crank Case Ventalation that is the cause of the oil.

I'll bet your are finding oil from the CCV. My boots are filthy. Not sure what is worse, the filthy boots or the smoke and fumes from the ccv mod.

I'm betting on the CCV too!!! Do the CCV mod, just run the hose down the back of the motor, for now. Remove and clean the boots, before the turbo and after it. IC boots too!! Little bit of work, but alot less $$ and time than to rebuilding the turbo and find out its not the problem!!!!!!!
