Warn Hubs on D60

I am going to put Warn Standard or Premium hubs (havent decided yet) on my 94 F350. All the reading I have done has told mentioned that if I have the three screw auto hubs that I require a Warn 32721 spindle nut conversion kit. I dont have this, but I do have Auto hubs with five #25 TORX screws. Was there more than one type of auto hub put into these trucks?

My main question is what EXACTLY do I need to complete the project? I understand the Standard or Premium hubs, warn part number 32721, and Warn part # 11714. Is this accurate? I assume it is but I dont want to buy stuff I dont need!

Anyone done this to theirs that has insight?

Thanks
Thad

Just buy the hubs.....everything you need is in the box (internal hubs, cap, bolts and o-ring for cap). Just for grins check out the mile marker hubs for d60 with stainless caps...... I have run them on three 1 ton trucks and never had a issue. They seem to be a bit heaver than the warn Premium hubs and much cheaper (VERY GOOD HUB). I thing Part #449ss

You may need to pull the locking hubs apart and see which style of bearing retention you have. Or buy the spindle nut kit and return it if you don't need it. If you have the inner nut, lock washer and outer nut, you don't need the kit. I've seen them both ways between the 3 and 5 bolt auto hub caps.

Ok, when I took them apart with an old Army mechanic, he told me that we needed the spindle nut socket to remove the other parts. Is this different than the spindle nut kit? I bought a spindle nut socket on ebay and it enroute right now.

Maybe... The ones I have done have had different nuts then the spicer nut kit. It comes with three pieces per side. My 94 had a regular nut on the auto hubs and the kit had nuts that needed the socket with the little studs. They look like a Spanner nut if you know what that is.

I'll give it a whirl maybe later this week......just not 100% sure what all I need. I want to take it apart as few times as possible!

If you need the spindle nut socket to remove them, you probably don't need the spindle nut kit. It already has the standard nuts on it.

Well, I went with the standard hubs since they WERE on sale at NAPA and they had them in stock (which is great for a impatient guy like me...).

I installed them and now I have 4WD......it was broken when I got it.....

I am a happy camper...

Also, if you have 5 torxs screws on your auto hubs you DO NOT need the adapter.....at least I didnt...

Thanks RCrawler and guys....
