Question wait to start light comes on while cruzin???

97 f-350 crew, long bed. The wait to start light on dash comes on when I hit rough rode bumps (railroad tracks, pot holes). The same light comes on when I'm just crusin at same speed for one hour or longer. The symtoms: lose forward power, have to let off fuel pedal for light to go off and continues like nothing happened. This is very aggrivating and I don't really know where to start on this problem. This is the only problem with my truck and I hope someone has had a similar problem to give me some direction.

I believe what is hapenning is thew PCM is losing power momentarily

I would start with making sure all the fuses are seated properly & the small relays in the under hood fuse box are seated properly also ...

Could be a CPS issue too....

When mine acted like this it was the CPS. Be careful of the new CPS the dealers are using for the recall. I hear they may be recalling the recall.

I wonder how they'll handle it when I take them a part new in the package and ask to exchange it for another better one...

PCM already replaced. Took wire ties and tied up my wire bundel so it won't bounce seems to have helped with the frequence but definately not a fix. Keep the info flowing I am new to the Ford family and the Diesel family so anything is a boost in my knowledge of my beast.
