brake pads

i need new front pads on my 2000 f-150 4x4. The Ford pads are $94.00! Motorcraft pads are $54.00. Is there a difference in performance? Should i look @ a different brand of pads? thanks

I went with the Motercraft the last time I did it and had no problems. The Origional Ford pad are supposed to last longer but by how much I don't know. Make sure you have your Rotors Trued. One thing I can warn you about is DON'T buy the Raybestos Brand "Quiet Stop" Pads, I put a set on my truck and had to pullthem off after only 5K miles, they were awlful. Good Luck.
