I can get a 15 lb, 125 gph electric fuel pump mine is starting to leak around the pump, but i have heard that anything above 8 lbs is bad for these trucks. Could somebody define "Bad." What exactly does it do to the truck because ive heard it would change the timing; if so couldn't I just adjust the timing to fit, or does it get more complicated than that.
That's what I had when I checked it yesterday. Thinking the cam is worn down.
I have an AcDelco EP12S that I am really seriously thinking about installing. If for no other reason, than to eliminate the PITA pump N' bleed crap every time I work on anything fuel related. And I have a hard time leaving anything alone(mechanically) until it works perfect... (Oc anyone? lol)
Also, if I bypass the fuel pump, and run strait up to the filter.... Do I still have to remove it? I was just thinking about putting a short loop on it and letting it recirculate on itself, or just capping the ends and let it go.
Sorry for the hijack, but it's a pertinent thread, and I didn't think this deserved its own thread.
Oh yeah, I put a holly red on my Kubota. Thats where the AcDelco came from. A used one I had sitting around. No idea where it came from. Would this be better suited for this application?
