It depends on the weather, I`d love to plate the 05 as soon as the damned salt is gone....
I don`t think the Quad would fit unless I took off the side tool boxes off and that ain`t gonna happen.
The 92 is in pieces as the bodywork/paint is getting done.
Just finished washing the Lincoln again today, I got the winter crap off but on the way home probably got some of it right back on it.....
Well I would have to disagree with ya there I know salt sucks dont get me wrong, but I havent had a newer vehicle rust YET in that short of a time span!
I`m not saying any vehicles will rust just in the first couple of years but they sure get a good start on it. Then rusting picks up speed.....
Lately potash waste is being used alot more and it`s by far worse than salt. Our highway here has been white and pink for the last couple of weeks.
Bless the gravel roads, stone chips and all for it isn`t safe to follow a semi too closely on the highway on some days for the white salt dust blowing behind them.
I have always found if you drive carefull on gravel roads, then you can really minimize the chips. You will never get away from them from under the wheel wells, but the rest of the body stays good.
I grew up on gravel roads so we had to figure out ways to not get chips in our vehicles.
That works to a point till a bone head comes at you doing 75 mph with a rust beater 3/4 ton 4X4 with grip tires....
I had that happen afew times, luckily I`m good in the summer with the pavement here.
See theres a way to stop that too. Believe it or not, no matter what you are driving, if you go right in the middle of the road, or even to the other side of the road abit, that 75mph guy will always slow down!
Believe me I have had to do it alot, and when I was young, I had people do that to me and it works!
There`s times when I do hog the road to slow down on coming traffic but at times with a semi zooming down towards me I`ve thought the better of that, you never know if the guy is even fully awake or on pills, etc.
I hear you, most of the time it works and some times it just don`t!
Well so far just about everyone back home where I grew up does it. Not 1 accident that I have ever heard from that. There is always semis with grain trailers down those roads too!
If it wasnt going to work, a guy could just swerve a little back into his side on the road too
Back to the topic of Draggins................
I'm thinkin Friday might be the day/evening for me and i will be driving from La Ronge....the edge of SK civilization.....4 and one half hours.
