Question Into the grind

I am curious how many of you out there have a 4th angle machined into the valve seats? and was there a decent difference or even noticable compared to prior in performance on the D3VE A2A heads.

My other question is...... Has anyone had the exhuast valve seats or ports "backcut" (I am not sure which it is)

Alot of the newer heads have undercut valvesalready installed. Better flow numbers and a little lighter in weight. An advantage in a racing or higher rpm application, not so much in a stock/daily driver application.

A good 3 angle valve job and some under cut stems would be a good idea for any rebuild. You will just get more out of it with airflow from a cam, heads, and intake package. You definitely need to cut out the EGR bump in the exhaust port and port match both sides. Nothing crazy just a port cleanup.

Yeah, I was thinking when I have the money to go with the port n polish Scotty the mad porter recommends on that Reincarnation site for 25 bucks or what it is. Because I plan on running a .540/.552 lift Voodoo cam from Lunati.

That sounds like a good plan.
