Oil pan help!!

Hey everyone, would a rear sump oil pan off a 4x4 fit nicley on my 2wd F-150 with a 400 which currently has a front sump? Just dont know about the cradle hitting it or not. Thanks

Dumb question, but whats wrong with the pan you have on there now?

I don't think it will but if the engine is still in try measuring it.

Its a street/strip truck and rear sump will give me and extra quart i think right? better oil control.

you want better oil control, get a baffled pan.

So a rear sump wont work in my 2wd? thats all im asking.

I don't know. You have to take a look at the underside of your truck, and visualize the location of the rear sump being at the same plane as the bottom of the front sump, and figure the back of the sump will be about 2" forward of where the engine ends.
