Broken Leaf Spring

I had part of my rear leaf spring break off, it appears to be the middle leaf on the back half on the rear passenger side. My question is, can I continue to dirve the truck and haul with it? Also, where do I purchase a new leaf spring?

2001 F350 Dually, stock height, 7.3

Thanks!
Bob

No, I would not haul with it. With a piece out of the pack, its very weak.

Take it to a spring shop and have both rear packs done.

Sometimes the dealer is reasonable with the springs too. I went with factory springs when mine were broken in the accident b/c the spring places wanted more!

I purchased a new leaf spring assembly from the dealer. I've completed the job of replacing the broken one. However, now that side of the truck sits up about 1" higher than the other. Is this a problem? Should I replace the other spring now as well? Made a full night of it and replaced all the old shocks as well, went with the Edelbrock IAS shocks. Test drive was great!

Too High

Give it a couple of weeks to settle down. If it's still to high, your only option is to replace the other one, or put shims between the axle & spring.
