I want to put clearance lights on my 94 f350. I don't realy like the looks of the factory ones for this body styl of truck Does any one know if the 99 and up powerstroke ones will fit? Or are there any after market options? I haven't found any.
Also how hard will they be to wire in? is there a pig tail like on never trucks or will I just have to wire it into my park lights?
Yes the SD clearance lights will work. I've seen them on the OBS before.
Installation is not too difficult. The easiest way is to tap into the parking lamp wire. The most difficult part is pulling back the headliner. Should only take a couple hours.
any ideas on where to drill since going with the SD lights I wont be getting the templet that comes with the ford kit? well it may come with one but for a superduty.
I put some on an older Ford a couple years back. I didn't have a template or anything. The truck was white, so I used a pencil and measured it out. Traced around the lights where I wanted them to be. Maybe you can use a chalk pen or something to mark them with.
yeah I would like to put them in the stock location but wont have any way to find it guse I'll have to figure out where looks best then measure to make sure they're even then measure then measure aw whats the poit when ever I drill a hole it always seems to end up some where els even when I center punch it.
yeah that what I'll probly end up doing. I'm just kinda **** about stuff like that like if the lights off just the tiniest bit it will bug the crap out of me even though no one will ever notice.

A few tools that you'll need in addition to the drill bits is a "step" drill bit, and a knock out tool.
When laying out your lights, I'd suggest using masking tape or painters tape. It'll serve two purposes.....1) it'll provide a surface for you to put your measurement lines on (use pencil) and 2) it'll protect the surrounding paint from chipping when you drill
It's a fairly easy job. Just the toughest part is driling that first hole, but after that one is done you only have 14 more to drill......
Take your time, measure TWICE....walk away for a little while, come back and measure twice again. I was fortunate enough to have a buddy who's a A & P mechanic and had all the tools and knowledge to help me with my install. You can't even tell that my lights weren't factory installed.

Hea, didn't I sell you your light when I was at Millennium?
Yes you did Ed. You also sold me the upfitter switch assembly.
I'm doing great. Just waiting for all the hard water to leave the lakes
Glad to see you back!! I wish you all the best.......
